Simple and safe disconnection of diaphragm seal systems

When replacing or calibrating measuring devoces, the device – including the process connection – must generally be removed. This not only interrupts the process but also opens it up, and is often a complicated, time-consuming, and costly procedure –especially in hygienic processes and those involving toxic or sensitive substances, such as in the pharmaceutical industry, or in particularly complex systems, such as in the chemical industry.

Welded between the measuring device and the process connection, the quick coupling device significantly simplifies handling during the installation of measuring systems with remote lines, including on tall tanks, in tight spaces, and on hard-to-access systems.

Applications

The REconnect quick coupling device is welded between the measuring device and the process connection, enabling the simple and safe disconnection and reconnection of diaphragm seal systems. As a result, replacing or
calibrating measuring devices is no longer a time-consuming and costly process, and the process does not need to be opened. The measuring instrument and diaphragm seal can be reconnected just as easily, and the system can
be put back into operation immediately. This is particularly advantageous in hygienic processes and processes involving toxic or sensitive substances, such as in the pharmaceutical industry. In particularly large and complex systems – such as those in the chemical industry – the quick coupling device also enables easy routing and securing of long-distance lines, e.g., over installation pipes. Furthermore, the installation of large flanges can be significantly simplified, as the process connection can be retrofitted to the measuring device via the REconnect quick coupling device.
