Diaphragm seal testing device: Testing diaphragm seals without opening the process
In many plants, replacing, calibrating and testing measurement systems requires the process to be shut down and opened so that the measuring instrument, including its process connection, can be removed. This not only involves a significant investment of time and money, but also presents a potential source of errors and hazards. The diaphragm seal testing device enables diaphragm to be tested easily without opening the process. To do this, the measuring device installed in the system and the diaphragm seals are disconnected from one another using the REconnect quick coupling device, so that the diaphragm seal in the system can then be connected to the testing device and tested.
Highlights of diaphragm seal testing device
- Procedure for calibrating/testing a pressure measurement system
- No need to open the process
- System can be put back into operation immediately without cleaning or leak testing
- Disconnect the diaphragm seal from the measuring device using the REconnect quick-connect coupling
- Connect the pressure transmitter to the test device using the REconnect quick coupling device
- Calibrate the diaphragm seal by altering the volume within the diaphragm seal
- Detection of deformation and damage to the diaphragm
- Holes in the diaphragm
- Signs of deposits or deformation of the diaphragm
- Corrosion on the diaphragm
