Combibar: One Measurement, Two Benefits

In a combined pressure measurement system, two different measurement methods are connected to a single process connection. The combined system typically consists of an electronic pressure transmitter with a compatible pressure separator and a mechanical pressure gauge. This combined pressure measurement system enables redundant display of data from different measurement systems at a single measurement point.

There are numerous possible combinations of process connections and measuring devices: in principle, almost any configuration can be implemented. If necessary, additional functions can even be added. For example, many mechanical pressure gauges are equipped with a switch contact that triggers a safety shutdown when a specified upper pressure limit is exceeded.

For use in the food industry, a pressure transmitter with food-grade fittings can be selected; in the paint industry, a tube-type pressure transmitter with a special filling fluid has proven effective; and in gas and oil production stations, a universal pressure transmitter suitable for high pressures is used. This ensures that the right combination is found for every measurement task.
