Invasive temperature measurement

Connection technologies for temperature measurement
Temperature measurements are among the most common measurement tasks in pharmaceutical plants, used to monitor and control the production process as well as plant sterilisation using saturated steam (SIP).
- Preferably electrical: In order to process measurement results and meet documentation requirements, electrical measuring devices are used almost exclusively
- Invasive and robust: In the most common type of temperature measurement, a temperature-sensitive sensor is inserted invasively into the process. This measurement technology is robust and proven
- Precise with a protective tube: A further development of the conventional immersion probe is hygienic, invasive measurement using an orbitally welded protective tube system – this technology is precise, seal-free and sterile
Invasive connections
- Tapered threaded connection, metal-sealed
- Grooved union nut to DIN 11851
- Clamp to DIN 32676
- Clamp to ISO 2852
- Tri-Clamp
- Varivent quick-release coupling
- Ingold connector
- Neumo BioConnect®
- Aseptic connections
- Seal-free HYGIENIC connections
- Others available on request

Drift monitoring even between calibration cycles
Labom temperature transmitters with a self monitoring function package reliably detect deviations, enhance reliability and provide drift and fault warnings to ensure stable process values.
Clamp-on technology
Labom demonstrates non-invasive temperature measurement methods as a hygienic alternative to conventional measurement. Precise readings are obtained without any interference with the process – ideal for sterile food and pharmaceutical processes.
Non-invasive temperature measurement
Invasive temperature measurements are common in the food and pharmaceutical industries, but they pose hygiene risks. Non-invasive technologies enable flexible and retrofittable temperature measurement without interfering with the process.
