Clamp-on technology

Measuring process or medium temperature is a common task in the food and pharmaceutical industries. Invasive measurement systems that extend into the process space are typically used for this purpose. Whilst this method is tried and tested and robust, it poses a hygiene risk due to the necessary interfaces with the process.

A smart alternative – particularly for sterilisation monitoring – can be the measurement of the pipe surface or tank temperature, in order to infer the medium temperature and avoid interfering with the process. Labom clamp-on devices are usually quick and easy to install and can also be retrofitted very easily into existing systems.

Clamp-on technology is used for temperature monitoring and process control, particularly in sterilisation technology. Temperature measurement is achieved through simple and quick installation on any existing pipework system. There is no need to interrupt the pipework or carry out welding.
