Fluidized Bed Reactor
In fluidised bed reactors in pharmaceutical plants, solid particles are moved around in a container by a swirling air flow in order to carry out chemical reactions or manufacture pharmaceutical products. This process offers an efficient way to dry, granulate or coat substances while ensuring uniform and controlled processing.
The process begins with the particles being fed into the fluidised bed reactor, where they are kept suspended and circulated by the air flow. This allows for rapid and even distribution of heat or solvent, resulting in effective drying or conversion of the particles.
Modern fluidised bed reactors are equipped with precise control and monitoring systems to accurately control temperature, humidity and other parameters. This ensures optimal product quality and consistency while maximising energy efficiency.
